On August 18, 2018 a fire destroyed building C on the BTW campus. That portion of the campus housed the school’s cafeteria, counselor’s office, the photo studio, art studio, broadcast media, the library, and a number of classrooms. The building is a total loss.

The school moved to the former Hayneville Road Elementary School with classes beginning on Monday, August 27, 2018. In October 2019 MPS purchased the former Holy Cross Episcopal School on Bell Road, and in July 2020 broke ground at that site on BTW's new home. Construction on the new campus is expected to be completed with the school up and running around 2022.
